Excerpts from an interview with Yvonne Greussing, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications at Julius Blum GmbH
The global leader in furniture fittings, the Vorarlberg-based firm Julius Blum GmbH, holds its biennial International Blum Forum at Bregenz Festival House. The next forum takes place in mid September 2016.
Ms Greussing, apart from the geographical proximity of Bregenz Festival House to the company's headquarters, are there any other reasons to meet there and not somewhere else?
A great deal speaks for Bregenz Festival House, but for us, in a nutshell, it's the impressive architecture of the congress centre, the high quality of service by the team, the technical infrastructure and the warm hospitality shown to us year after year.
You have decided in recent years to alter the event dramaturgy. That means more interactive forms of communication, fewer classical lecture-style presentations. What contribution has Kongresskultur Bregenz made there?
Changing over from one-way communication to interactivity and active exchange is a dictate of the present day. Kongresskultur Bregenz has actively supported us in implementing this new style of programme design that is based on dialogue and discussion. It began with the technology – after all, for the workshops we needed simultaneous translation into six languages – and went on to include room planning, catering and overall dramaturgy.
Kongresskultur Bregenz is very proud of its personnel's passionate commitment to its customers. If that evaluation is correct, how does this commitment make itself felt?
For me personally, it's the many small things that ultimately bring about the big result – the satisfaction of our guests. Whether it's friendliness, genuine hospitality, quick reaction times or reading between the lines, the Kongresskultur Bregenz team simply make events that are dazzling. "No can do" is a phrase you don't hear here.
